Job Description Are you passionate about exploration and delivering unparalleled experiences on the high seas? Our Client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Vessel Operations Manager to join our team and help us navigate the exciting world of polar expeditions!

Your Mission: As our Vessel Operations Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our fleet meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and guest satisfaction. You will be the linchpin connecting our deck and engine suppliers, expedition teams, and various departments, driving excellence across all aspects of our voyages.

What You'll Do: Champion Excellence: Drive all vessels to exceed brand quality and standards. Guest-Centric Approach: Regularly review guest ratings and implement action plans for continuous improvement. Onboard Engagement: Conduct shipboard visits and sailings to ensure standards are met. Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain plans for bunkering, crewing, and maintenance. Collaborative Synergy: Work closely with operations, expedition teams, and partners to create unforgettable guest experiences. Financial Insight: Collaborate with the Operations Financial Analyst on forecasts and budgets. Partnership Building: Maintain and develop relationships with operational partners. Training Leadership: Engage with partners to train officers and ship management in exceeding standards. Operational Support: Provide comprehensive shore side support for deck, engine, technical, and crewing needs. Sustainability Advocate: Promote and implement sustainability targets and initiatives. Innovative Initiatives: Work with product teams on new itineraries and projects. Cross-Department Communication: Liaise with sales, marketing, and other teams on operations and strategy. Health & Safety Commitment: Ensure health measures are upheld through collaboration with medical and onboard teams. Contract Management: Review and maintain contracts with suppliers and charter parties. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: A certificate of competency, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in vessel management. Experience: 2-4 years onboard in expedition cruising and 2-4 years shoreside in a similar role. Skills: Stellar communication, attention to detail, and collaboration skills. Knowledge: Familiarity with Arctic/Antarctic itineraries, maritime regulations (MARPOL, SOLAS), and MS Office suite. Availability: Willingness and ability to travel as needed. Why Our Client?
