Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vessel Operator to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our owned and chartered bulk carriers, ensuring efficient and compliant vessel performance. Key Responsibilities:
Manage post-fixture operations for bulk carriers, ensuring smooth execution of voyages. Coordinate with vessels, ship managers, and charterers to optimize operations. Monitor cargo loading and discharge operations at ports. Handle Letters of Indemnity (LOIs) and Original Bills of Lading (OBLs). Liaise with insurance providers for vessels entering High-Risk Areas (HRAs). Prepare hire invoices and statements; update records in the IMOS system. Monitor vessel performance and counterparty compliance. Draft contractual and operational documents as needed. Manage a service split of ~75% ship-owning operations and ~25% cargo operations. Requirements:
Prior experience in vessel operations or a related field within the shipping industry. Familiarity with bulk carrier operations and post-fixture management. Strong understanding of IMOS or similar operational software. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. Why Join Us?
