Location/Division Specific InformationOur global Clinical Operations colleagues within our PPD® clinical research services provide end-to-end support for clinical trials from study start up to monitoring through to study close out, across commercial and government contracts. Together, we help clients define and develop clinical programs, minimize delays, and execute high-quality, cost-efficient clinical studies. Discover Impactful Work:The CRA Apprenticeship Program, specifically crafted with veterans in mind, is an exceptional pathway for transitioning service members to embark on an exciting career in the clinical research industry. This 12-month program provides an accelerated journey into the highly demanded Clinical Research Associate (CRA) role. We are currently seeking candidates currently living in the West or Central Regions of the United States. We are not currently recruiting for East Coast candidates at this time.A day in the Life:As a CRA Apprentice, you will experience immersive work experience, rotating through three distinct functions in our Clinical Operations business unit: Clinical Trial Coordinator, Assistant CRA (ACRA) and the CRA Academy.Progress through skill development training to gain robust knowledge of clinical research.Receive dedicated mentorship and support throughout the program.Enjoy competitive full-time pay and benefits.Option to apply remaining GI education benefits Upon completion of the CRA Apprenticeship Program, transition to a full-time CRA I role where you will perform and coordinate different aspects of the clinical monitoring and site management process. Responsibilities will include frequent travel to perform on-site visits to study sites.Keys to Success: EducationBachelor's degree in a life sciences related fieldExperienceStatus as a veteran or military spouseIn order to qualify for this program, you must have no prior clinical research experiencePrevious basic experience or training in the medical fieldIn some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the roleKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBasic medical/therapeutic area knowledge and understanding of medical terminologyGood oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with medical personnelGood interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain customer focus through the utilization of good listening skills, attention to detail and the ability to perceive customers’ underlying issuesGood organizational and time management skillsAbility to remain flexible and adaptable in a wide range of scenariosWell-developed critical thinking skills, including but not limited to critical mindset, in-depth investigation for appropriate root cause analysis and problem solvingAbility to work in a team or independently as requiredGood computer skills: solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn appropriate softwareGood English language and grammar skillsWork Environment Thermo Fisher Scientific values the health and wellbeing of our employees. Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.00–$22.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
