Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Longmeadow Animal Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small animal care, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. As a veterinarian at Longmeadow Animal Hospital, you will work alongside a skilled team of veterinary professionals, providing comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality veterinary medical care to dogs and cats, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions. Perform routine wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, dental cleanings, and other preventive care services. Develop and implement treatment plans for ill or injured animals and provide follow-up care as necessary. Communicate effectively with pet owners, educating them about preventive care, treatment options, and ongoing health management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care. Keep current with the latest veterinary medical practices, treatments, and technologies.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Valid Maryland veterinary license or ability to obtain one. Experience in small animal care is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform a variety of veterinary procedures, including surgeries and dentistry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Benefits:
