Payson Pet Care is a fast-paced, AAHA accredited hospital located in the rural mountain community of Payson, AZ (about 90 miles from Phoenix). Job description:
We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our family and our small mountain community. With the nearest emergency hospital over an hour away, our rural area has many needs and we are open to tailoring this position to your strengths. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is confident with Urgent Care type medicine, but GP is absolutely welcomed!

We are the only AAHA accredited hospital within a 90-mile radius.
Full service hospital equipped for wellness, sick pets and surgery.
Dedicated, trained staff with a 2:1 tech to doctor ratio (3:1 if working solo)
In house diagnostics
We offer laser therapy, ultrasound, cautery, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.
New digital radiology equipment for both dental and diagnostic.
SPACE! We have a 5,000 square foot hospital with 4 exam rooms, a compassion room, two isolation rooms, full lab, double surgery suite and updated lobby (no boarding or grooming).
Qualifications:
Must have DVM or VMD from an AVMA accredited institution
License to practice veterinary medicine in AZ or able to attain a license and in good standing
DEA licensure is preferred
Must have a passion for continued learning and improvement, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
Take pride in offering unmatched compassionate care, ensuring our communication with our clients is clear and understood.
Support all other medical personnel, including veterinary technicians and assistants, and help will guide as a mentor to develop the clinical staff.
Require confidence and proficiency in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
Open to recent graduates and experienced practitioners.
