VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our AAHA Accredited General practice in Castle Rock, CO. We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person's individual skill and personality.

The pay for this position is $19-21 an hour, based on experience

This position will be closed on 1/31/25

As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet-parent by delivering an outstanding client experience so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Restraining and assisting inpatient exam and routine procedures.

Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.

Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized patients.

Maintaining medical records.

Assisting our Doctor and Technician staff as needed.

Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
