Your expertise will be leveraged in:  Creating rapport with clients and patients  Communication with clients regarding medical appointments  Veterinary dentistry monitoring and charting  Client education in nutrition, wellness and growing strong relationships  Anesthesia monitoring  Surgical prep and assistance  In-patient care  Out-patient care  Laser Therapy  Client education in pet wellness to include vaccine protocols  Laboratory sample processing  Drug log maintenance  Prescription processing  Client/Patient medical file maintenance using our paperless computer system Role Responsibilities/Qualifications Responsibilities Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assisting, and pro-actively set up for any procedures or diagnostic tests Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner Obtain accurate vitals, obtain medical histories, and/or note any changes of patient’s condition to DVM Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies Care and maintenance of all medical equipment including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and any other tools that are essential to daily operations High quality client communication on patient updates and questions Qualifications High School diploma or GED certificate Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations, and work with others on a team respectfully Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Your Benefits Pay range of $17.00 - $23.00/hour, based on experience Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Short Term Disability Paid Time Off (Vacation & Public Holidays) Teladoc - FREE doctor access 24/7 Discounted Veterinary Care EAP (Employee Assistance Program) A large network of over 10,000 veterinary professionals who all share common interest in promoting a collaborative working environment and individual career growth Opportunity to make an impact in your community while tackling a challenging, variety of tasks and the ability to help animals among a great team of people!
