VCA Redwood Animal Hospital is a well-established companion animal practice is committed to providing comprehensive, lifelong care—from first exams to senior wellness. As we expand our services and work toward AAHA accreditation, we’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our team and enhance patient care.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. Flexible scheduling.  4/10’s or 5/8’s with evening hours Mon-Fri and rotating Saturdays.  Closed Sundays and Holidays.

Compensation:  $19 - 23 / hour. Pay dependent on experience and licensure.

  

What You’ll Do:Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures.Provide compassionate patient care, handling, and restraint.Educate clients on preventative care and post-visit instructions.Support the team with hospital cleanliness, stocking, and organization.Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What We’re Looking For:Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate!Passion for animal care, teamwork, and learning.Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
