VCA Anderson Mill Animal Hospital located in Austin, Texas is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join their 2-doctor General Practice! 

Location:  13542 North Highway 183, Austin, Texas 78750

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. Flexible scheduling.  Monday-Friday, 7a-6p.  We are hiring 1 person for this position.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

We need an experienced (minimum 2 years) Veterinary Assistants to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education.    Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assisting in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. 

As a member of the VCA Anderson Mill team, you will support the Technician and Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.Maintaining medical records.Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
