Northampton Veterinary Clinic is an employee-focused, full service small animal practice, serving Northampton and the Pioneer Valley. We would like to add a Veterinary Assistant to Northampton Veterinary Clinic’s dedicated and growing team! Could that be you??

We are a 7 doctor, fast-paced, full-service, small animal practice serving the community for almost 25 years. Northampton Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to our patients, alongside friendly & compassionate service to our clients. We LOVE what we do! We offer a variety of services including wellness & preventative care, digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound, full service in-house laboratory, laser therapy, soft tissue surgery, dental surgery, and much more!

About You: 

You are familiar with pet behavior and handling You are outgoing, enthusiastic, compassionate and not afraid to get dirty

You are organized, thorough, and have great attention to detail

You have great problem solving skills and good physical stamina You have exceptional stress-management skills that help you thrive when things get hard You are an excellent listener and communicate in a caring and respectful way You can work directly with the veterinarians and technicians to ensure all of our patients and clients have the best care and experience possible.

 

Anticipated schedule:  

Our clinic is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm Equivalent of four 10-hour shifts per week Every other Saturday morning is required We are closed Sundays, with no on-call

 

Compensation:  

We believe that each team member should be compensated considering their knowledge, skills, and experiences. Starting rate for an assistant without previous experience is $16.50 per hour, and $17 per hour after a 3 month trial period. Experienced assistants will earn more to start.
