Job Description:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians, technicians, and reception team, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Responsibilities include assisting with animal examinations, handling and restraining animals during procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, answering phones, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Veterinarians and Technicians during examinations and procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals with care and compassion.
- Perform routine laboratory procedures, such as sample processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in treatment areas and kennels.
- Answering phones
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing information and assistance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in veterinary setting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic veterinary procedures and terminology.
- Comfortable working with a variety of animal species.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
