We are seeking a talented Hospital Director to oversee our facility, which provides critical, emergency, primary care to pets. This person will be responsible for overseeing the business aspects of hospital operations and upholding a sound medical environment in a very large veterinary hospital that includes specialty and emergency. The Director will support the leadership team, the Intern Director, and the Medical Director to meet goals and foster an excellent service culture and working environment. **What you will be doing but not limited to:** + Accountability for the hospital profit & loss statements + Responsibility to foster a collaborative and positive culture and work environment + Focus on exceeding client expectations + Oversight of Leaders/Supervisors, Intern Director and Medical Director who support approximately 90 associates including doctors, technicians, veterinary assistants, and paraprofessional staff + Develop and grow future leaders + Oversight and development of onboarding, training, and continuity programs + Cultivate relationships within the veterinary community + Support the recruitment of medical professionals **Who we are looking for:** + Prior specialty/emergency veterinary management knowledge is a plus. + Strong leadership skills to develop a solid team and proven success in engaging with veterinary professionals. + Excellent analytical and organization skills, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. + Prior leadership for a specialty hospital or multi-site operational business is strongly preferred. + Proven experience building high performing teams. + Ability to multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities. + Experienced record of generating revenue growth and ability to balance short-term needs and priorities while building for the future. **Special Working Conditions:** + Flexibility in schedule and hours of availability + The environment where pets are present + Periodic travel required **Location** : 609-5 Cantiague Rock Rd, Westbury, NY 11590 **As a member of the VCA family, eligible full-time employees will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:** Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$115,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
