IDEXX are currently seeking a full-time experienced Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to work within our multi-discipline laboratory in Rydalmere. You will work as part of a vibrant and highly engaged team and contribute to the delivery of timely, effective, and efficient diagnostic pathology services. As a member of a specialised team, you – as the successful hire, will ensure the provision of high-quality, efficient, effective, biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, and parasitology testing. Your usual hours of work are Monday-Friday between the hours of 2am and 6.00pm, with an occasional Saturday shift.
The Veterinary Laboratory Scientist will ensure that IDEXX Reference Laboratories operate at the highest level of accuracy by performing, monitoring and acting upon quality control procedures – while monitoring, calibrating, and troubleshooting their performance, in compliance with NATA and ISO accreditation/certification requirements.
The Successful candidate…Completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
Min 2-3 years’ experience within a diagnostic laboratory setting preferred
PC & data entry skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to policies and practices.
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment.
A passion for providing exceptional customer service
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
