Veterinary Referral Coordinator, Tri Lake Animal Hospital and Referral Centre
**Veterinary Referral Coordinator** **Location: Lake Country, BC** **Tri Lake Animal Hospital and Referral Centre** is currently welcoming a full-time customer service-focused Client Care Team Member to join our hospital as our newest **Referral Coordinator.** This great opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated! **What you need:** As this position demands a base level of veterinary knowledge upon entry, we will require eligible applicants to have 2 years of prior experience in a veterinary clinical setting. Previous experience with referral services will be considered an asset. + Additional responsibilities and qualities for this role are: + Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patient and pet parents + Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required + Ability to answer a multi line phone system and track and book appointments effectively + Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings + Respond and manage email correspondence: clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages + Admitting and discharging pet patients + Invoicing/billing: creating estimates and explaining fees, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments + Scheduling appointments + Excellent customer service skills: a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment + Strong organizational skills + General housekeeping duties: cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas including the removal of animal waste + Willingness to learn more regarding: veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments **Schedule:** The role is a Full-time position, typically featuring a Sunday to Wednesday schedule. While this will be the primary schedule, we do offer services 7 days a week so there will be occasional exceptions to accommodate vacation schedules and business needs.
