Veterinary Referral Manager

VCA CAVES is a leading veterinary specialty and emergency care provider dedicated to delivering exceptional medical care to pets and outstanding service to their owners and referring veterinarians. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Veterinary Referral Manager to strengthen our partnerships with referring veterinary practices and support our continued growth.

Position Overview:
The Veterinary Referral Manager serves as the primary liaison between our hospital and referring veterinarians. This role focuses on relationship management, outreach, and communication to ensure seamless coordination of patient referrals and to foster strong, collaborative relationships with the veterinary community.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with referring veterinary practices to facilitate smooth referral processes.

Serve as the primary point of contact for referral veterinarians, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.

Coordinate and manage referral workflows, ensuring timely communication between referring veterinarians and our specialty teams.

Organize and facilitate outreach initiatives, including in-person visits, continuing education (CE) events, and networking opportunities.

Monitor referral trends, track key metrics, and provide insights to improve referral processes.

Collaborate with internal teams, including specialists, technicians, and administrative staff, to enhance the referral experience.

Maintain accurate records of referrals, communications, and outreach activities.

Represent the hospital at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Qualifications:

Experience in veterinary medicine, referral coordination, or a related field preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain professional relationships.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
