Premier Veterinary Group in Orland Park is seeking a sonographer to fill a permanent, full-time position in our diagnostic imaging department to perform ultrasound studies on patients.
This position will include abdominal and cardiac ultrasonography on all types of veterinary patients (primarily dogs and cats), equipment care and maintenance, and assistance in other areas of veterinary imaging as time permits. Training will be provided as needed for transition into veterinary ultrasonography from human ultrasonography. Musculoskeletal and cardiac experience and/or training is not expected of our candidates as hands on training will be provided.
Requirements:
Applicants must be RDMS Registered. It is preferable for applicants to have experience with animals, though not required and no veterinary ultrasound experience is necessary. Applicants must be comfortable with cats and dogs. Good communication with all doctors and staff is essential to the success and quality assurance of the ultrasound procedure. It is critical that applicants can work in a team environment, have excellent time management skills and be adaptable to quickly changing situations to be successful in our busy and demanding environment.
