VCA Northwood Animal Hospital is expanding their team and are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician!
Compensation: Starting range is $ 18 + /hr. Compensation is determined by skill set, license, and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, 4 x 10 hour shifts with alternating weekends and some holidays.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in both our Urgent Care and Primary Care areas of the hospital. You'll provide high-quality medical care to patients requiring immediate attention in Urgent Care, while also building long-term relationships with clients and their pets in Primary Care. This dual role allows you to enhance your skills in a dynamic environment and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.Venipuncture and IVC placement.Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.Recognize subtle change in clinical status.Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.Complete estimates, basic record keeping.Anesthesia monitoring.Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.Dentals.Below are some of the many benefits of joining the VCA team!
