We have an outstanding Contract position for a Veterinary Technicianto join a leading Company located in theBronx, NYsurrounding area. Pay Rate: $32.76 Job Responsibilities: + Trained by the contractor in basic animal husbandry, including handling animals, cage changes, cage wash operations, managing food and water, and sanitation, and have at least 1 year of experience in laboratory animal husbandry (Level 6). + Trained by the contractor in basic animal husbandry, including handling animals, cage changes, cage wash operations, managing food and water, and sanitation, and have at least 1 year of experience in laboratory animal husbandry (Level 6). Basic Hiring Criteria: + In addition to the requirements for an Assistant Technician, this individual will be competent in the assessment of sick animals, administering treatment prescribed by a veterinarian, and will have a solid knowledge of rules and regulations. + Is expected to have at least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory animal vivarium. + Will be ALAT Certified and working toward LAT Certification.
