**VCA Mission Animal Hospital** is an AAHA accredited general practice seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. **Compensation : $ 25 - $ 26 / hr** **Location :** **25 W Mission Rd, Alhambra, CA 91801** **Schedule : Days with Saturday as needed** We are a 3 doctor practice open Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: + Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals + Assisting veterinarian and technician staff with medical procedures, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments + Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition + Catheter placement + Venipuncture + Radiology + Patient recovery + Client Communication; loading exam rooms, presenting estimates + Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols + Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients Qualifications: + Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience + Hold a current California RVT license + Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays + Customer service skills including Phone skills + Working knowledge of computers + Excellent communications skills Benefits: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts and more! **_If you are a current VCA employee, please see a member of your leadership team for direction to make an internal application._** The information in this position description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed.
