Overview:
AVIM&O is a highly specialized internal medicine & oncology practice with three locations in central Maryland: Annapolis, Hunt Valley, and Columbia. Our practices are co-located within Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, and we provide best in class veterinary medical care for patients with chronic conditions like Addison’s, Cushings, gastrointestinal issues, renal failure, cancer, and more.
Additionally, our techs work hand in hand with our veterinary specialists to communicate with clients, referring veterinary practices and pharmacies.

Responsibilities:
Our Oncology team members work side-by-side with our board certified Veterinary Oncologists treating cancers like osteosarcoma, lymphoma, melanoma, and many more.
Taking detailed histories, phlebotomy, and IV catheter placement, chemotherapy infusions, and record keeping.Have an eye for detail, follow through, and enjoy creating a bond with patients and clients.AVIMO prides itself with offering exceptional oncologic care to our patients and exceeding chemotherapy safety standards.Use communication and problem-solving skills combined with clinical knowledge to be a passionate patient advocate.Responsible for exceptional client and patient care, and client educationProvide safe and low stress pet restraintMaintain hospital cleanlinessRunning in-house lab workMust be professional, trustworthy, punctual, and love working in a specialty environment!Have a high level understanding of drug calculations and prescription calculations and be prepared to assist owners with refills and medication questions.Take detailed patient histories and providing pertinent information to the attending veterinarian. Understand the prioritization of clinical information is a highly valued trait.Many of our patients are chronically ill, geriatric or acutely ill, so proper restraint and compassionate advocacy must be a part of your skillset.Excellent and timely verbal and written communication – our patients and clients depend on it.Benefits:
