Credentialed Veterinary Technician Supervisor Opportunity!
At VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado (VSNC) we are seeking a highly experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as Technician Supervisor. We are a well-established and growing specialty referral hospital serving communities in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Kansas since 2000. We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality medicine, meticulous patient care, and compassionate, client-centered customer service at all times – day and night. VSNC is fully equipped to receive any small animal veterinary patient needing emergency care, surgery, neurology, internal medicine, and physical rehabilitation services.

Our hospital is open 24/7 for emergency and critical care services with specialty services offers 9:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Salary $26.00-$30.00/hour, depending on licensing and experience.

This working supervisory position is responsible for the leadership of the Veterinary Technician Staff. The veterinary technician skills that you will be utilizing in this role include, but are not limited to:
Patient Restraint and History Taking
Anesthesia and Sedation Monitoring
Surgical Preparation and Assisting
Radiology
Laboratory Work
Venipuncture and IVC Placement
Pharmacy
Patient Recovery and Monitoring
In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to:
Directing outpatient and inpatient workflow through the hospital
Assisting in the educational development, mentorship, and training of technicians
Work in conjunction with the HM and MD on recruiting and onboarding of new associates
Maintaining the VA/VT schedule and ensure that it is published regularly
Assists in staffing and hospital coverage, where needed
Coordinate with HM, MD, and RTD on wet labs, monthly skills focuses, and CE opportunities to promote skill development amongst the staff
Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
