The role
As a Vetting’s Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Vetting clerk is responsible to the OC Police Flight and the Babcock Admin Manager for providing administrative support.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Instigating the initiation and review of SC Vetting, and as required on the receipt of correspondence from the RAF and as directed by the PS Staff. In consultation with the PS Staff, asserting whether the review of specified DV clearances can be substantiated and if so, initiate the appropriate documentation as required. Sending completed vetting documentation to the UKSV without delay. Initiation of Annual security approval forms for all DV clearance holders
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Halton.
Essential experience of the Vetting’s Clerk:
Previous evidence of carrying out the following duties - receiving and recording, as appropriate, all incoming and outgoing mail received for or generated by Security Flight and the RAF Police Flight and ensuring that any mail for posted or detached personnel is forwarded. Previous experience of working in a security environment and the ability to converse on all levels. Previous experience of maintaining online filing system and documentation control.
