Accountabilities
This position reports to the Director, ALM Strategy - TDS Treasury, TD Securities, who is responsible for management and oversight of TD Securities non-trading balance sheet including managing risk exposures and related P&L volatility.
The Vice President, ALM Strategy – TDS Treasury, will be accountable for:
Understanding and assist in implementing key pillars of a non-trading market risk framework focusing on end-to-end governance, policy and memo creation, and operational/risk management capabilitiesBuilding enhancements of TD Securities banking books and products in risk infrastructure and reporting, with proper implementation standards.Participating in the creation of board and regulatory level reporting of risks/A&l/P&LUpdating and managing the NTMR framework and model governance documentation, including assisting on entity level requirements where requiredWork with stakeholders to close operational and measurement gaps, change and improve operational booking models, and set up support function capabilities.Work with the businesses and TDS Treasury on cross functional impacts including balance sheet forecasting, new product creation, liquidity and fund transfer pricing, and entity level capital.Job Requirements
Deep understanding capital markets industry including products and services in both markets and bankingStrong understanding of hedge accounting and hedge accounting strategiesStrong People Leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing, diverse teamsAbility to establish strong relationships with key business partnersStrong presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence outcomesRobust organizational knowledge with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesQualifications
Prefer > 5 years of experience in bank treasury, short-term interest rate markets or accounting and liquidity management related functionStrong leadership skills and ability to explain and communicate technical concepts to a business audienceAbility to lead a group with stake holders and multiple businesses.Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge or experience with:Understanding of regulatory liquidity risk and conceptsUnderstanding of short-term interest rate marketsUnderstanding of accounting rules and regulation related NTMRGood skills with use of Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and PowerPoint.#LI-Hybrid
