Vice President, Architecture

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join Asset Management Technology’s Architecture group. The candidate will enable and accelerate the delivery of advanced and non-traditional investment strategies based on alternatives by providing highly reliable and scalable enterprise-grade technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of Liquid Alternatives capabilities, supported by a consistent architecture methodology and Business Architecture Framework.

• Analyze Liquid Alternatives business strategy and translate it into detailed architecture blueprint and actionable plans.

• Participate in business case development that supports new initiatives by quantifying potential benefits & costs and identifying risks.

• Define and capture architecture decisions to guide technology solutions within the delivery teams and across the organization; ensure compliance with the architecture decisions.

• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with the business architecture.

• Identify emerging technologies and market trends to inform future business strategy and architecture solutions.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of essential patterns for Data-, Event- and Application-centric integration and composition; ability to select and apply the optimal patterns to connect and compose enterprise systems.

• Knowledge of distributed systems and their trade-offs with focus on service-based and event-driven architectures.

• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS. Practical knowledge of a broad range of AWS services, including compute, containers, databases, analytics, and security.

• Strong proficiency in Java & Spring Framework and/or Python development environment; working knowledge of front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of Angular or Interop.io is a plus.

• Ability to provide high-quality visuals and documentation that convey system architecture to diverse audiences.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.

• Bachelor's or post graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
