Job Description:The Vice President, Business Applications at Essentia Health will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and management of business applications across the health system, with a particular focus on ERP systems, specifically Workday. This role will ensure that business applications align with organizational goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business applications, ensuring alignment with Essentia Health's overall mission and objectivesLead the planning, implementation, and optimization of the Workday ERP system across the organizationCollaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business application needs and opportunities


2. ERP Management:

Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the Workday ERP systemEnsure the ERP system supports key business processes, including finance, human resources, supply chain, and other critical functionsMonitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience


3. Team Leadership:

Build and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals, including application developers, analysts, and support staffFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the teamProvide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members


4. Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaborationEngage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutionsManage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects and services


5. Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of business application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budgetImplement best practices for project management, including risk management, quality assurance, and change management


6. Compliance and Security:

Ensure that business applications comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies, including HIPAA and other healthcare-specific requirementsImplement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain the integrity of business applications

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on business applications and ERP systems. Extensive experience with Workday is required.
