Vice President, Business Development

This individual will assist in the identification, prioritization, and development of new business pursuits. In partnership with the EVP of New Business, they will develop the pitch strategy and approach, casting the cross-functional team to support each engagement. The VP of Business Development supports the pitch team in crafting a compelling narrative that brings each pitch strategy to life through RFIs, RFPs, presentation decks, and client experiences. Additionally, this role involves analyzing the competitive landscape and contributing to PHM’s annual targeting strategy to drive the agency’s growth plan. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who thrives in highly collaborative and fast-paced environments. **Responsibilities** + Support the PHM New Business Center of Excellence by executing business development strategies in collaboration with the EVP of New Business and President of PHM. + Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, prioritizing key pursuits. + Oversee the RFI and RFP process from initial intake to final pitch, ensuring a cohesive narrative throughout all written and presented materials. + Lead the development of pitch presentations, ensuring clarity and impact. + Cultivate and prioritize inbound and outbound business opportunities. + Collaborate with capability leaders and senior management to leverage expertise for each pitch or prospect. + Drive the approach, deliverables, schedule, and tools needed to deliver successful pitches within established constraints. + Lead a seamless and collaborative pitch process, providing guidance and partnership to the pitch team and agency executives. + Develop compelling case studies that showcase PHM’s key success stories. + Represent the full suite of PHM, PM, and PMX Media services, products, tools, and offerings. + Develop and maintain a library of pitch collateral while managing access to adhere to conflict policies. + Oversee the work performance of junior team members, including setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, providing regular feedback, coaching for development. + Work closely with PM BD, PHM & PM design teams to ensure excellence in execution. + Partner with Publicis Groupe agencies on holding company opportunities. **Qualifications** + 10+ years of industry experience in consulting, interactive, agency, or direct marketing. + Experience building and leading cross-functional teams in the pitch/business development process. + Ability to engage with both tactical and strategic decision-makers. + Strong ability to independently manage medium to large client engagements. + Superb writing and presentation skills. + Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach with C-level marketing executives. + Strong knowledge and experience in marketing and advertising, with a focus on health and wellness categories preferred. + Prior experience in omnichannel media strategy, planning, and client leadership. + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. **Skills & Competencies** + Creative thinking and analytical problem-solving. + Strong communication skills. + Excellent presentation development abilities. + Exceptional project management skills. + Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and functions. + Strong client-service orientation. + Sound business acumen and strategic skills. + Proficiency in MS Office programs. + High curiosity, ability to manage ambiguity, and work autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. + Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across agency and network teams. **Additional information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
