JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to create shared organization and department of nursing goals and for alignment and integration of the delivery of care that advances CentraCare's quadruple aim utilizing shared leadership and shared accountability. Is accountable for nursing practice across the care continuum. Is accountable for collaborating with providers and other members of the healthcare team to lead clinical transformation, enhance safety, quality and the consumer experience across the care continuum. Leads integration of nursing and nursing practice and professional standards across the CentraCare. Responsible for Nursing Practice, Magnet (St. Cloud Hospital), Nursing Excellence, and Ambulatory Nursing Practice. Reporting directly to the COO and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team the CNO is integral to driving the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
EDUCATION:
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field required Bachelor of Science in Nursing required if master's is in another fieldEXPERIENCE:
1+ years successful experience as a CNO within an integrated health system required 5 years successful experience in health care leadership/management with progressive levels of responsibility.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Minnesota (Active)ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of health care systems and hospital, and ambulatory settings. Knowledge of budgeting and financial management practices. Ability to function with self-motivation and latitude to accomplish objectives, within framework of policies, general administrative direction, and supervisor direction. Ability to influence and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to effectively interact with Board of Directors, executive leaders, management personnel, providers, educational leaders, and community members. Ability to interpret, communicate and operationalize organizational purpose to a wide range of organizational and community representatives. Ability to make strategic, operational and administrative decisions in response to emerging conditions and environmental circumstances. Garners respect and trust from peers, setting aside personal agendas, desires, biases for the sake of a successful outcome.
