Job Description

Our distribution business is experiencing transformative growth—with no end in sight. That’s why we’re looking for a hands-on leader with significant warehouse management experience to oversee the daily operations within the building and lead a thriving team within our brand-new green-field Garland, Utah-based distribution center. You’ll lead our individual department managers and supervisors to ensure excellent productivity, results, and overall team morale. The successful candidate will have the ability to strategize and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented culture, a proven track record as an excellent performance manager of senior level warehouse staff, as well as significant experience overseeing successful B2B/B2C distribution centers. 

A day in the office looks like this: 

Leading and managing direct exempt-level reports in supervisory and managerial positions as well as 500+ nonexempt employees to meet or exceed goals in the distribution center. Actively monitor and overseeing all activities associated with in the building, including receiving, storage, and fulfillment to ensure excellence across departments Managing the budget and tracking KPIs daily & weekly Coaching, and developing department managers to establish strong communication channels and maintain knowledge of operational and personnel issues Advising employees as appropriate to increase their operational and customer service efficiencies Overseeing and ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and safety and environmental rules Improving productivity in the building while reducing operational cost Working closely with the executive team to establish ambitious but achievable processes to increase efficiency 

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

10+ years of Distribution Center management experience in progressively senior positions within a high-volume retail distribution environment that includes robotics & automation. 8+ years of e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, high-volume LTL and high-volume small parcel operations experience 8+ years on small parcel freight contracts and LTL contracts, with a solid knowledge of ocean, rail and intermodal transportation a plus Extensive background in storage utilization, both rack and bulked inventory Proven experience in managing high-value capital investment projects to include automation, MHE and WMS, TMS and LMS software integrations, as well as network optimization and the green-fielding of a distribution center Talent for fostering loyalty, cooperation and communication among various departments Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset
