It is responsible for overseeing and directing the principal engineering team and technical strategy of the organization. You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring the successful design, development, and implementation of complex engineering projects and solutions. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally to align engineering efforts with the company’s business objectives. _Experience & Qualifications_ : + Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree strongly preferred) + Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in engineering leadership roles + Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex engineering projects and teams + Minimum of 5 years of direct experience leading systems engineering and process improvement activities. + Practitioner experience in at least two different engineering disciplines + Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices + Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams + Proven Ability to think strategically and align engineering initiatives with the organization's business objectives + Demonstrated resolve in difficult situations, with ability to comprise based on situations. _Responsibilities:_ + Lead and manage the principal engineering team, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development + Drive PE led design guide development and direct mentoring of junior staff + Serve as a voting member of the Business Tollgate + Responsible for oversight of technical career path and promotion review board. + Support and assist in the development of the organization's long-term engineering vision, roadmap, and strategy + Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex engineering systems and products through design review oversight. + Optimize the design review process and identify/implement process improvements, best practices, and innovative technologies to enhance engineering efficiency and productivity + Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (e.g., operations, product, IT) to align design review efforts with the overall business goals + Ensure that all shipped products are in full compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. The salary range for this role is between $194,700.00-$277,400.00 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
