**Job Description**
BAE s Platforms and Services (P&S) is seeking our next Vice President of Finance to lead the sector financial operations to include financial planning, reporting, compliance, accounting, financial business systems and corporate investment including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. This leader is focused on business execution and operational excellence and is responsible for executing our financial business strategy and the efficient growth of the sector s portfolio.
Platforms & Services is a leading provider and systems integrator of tracked and wheeled armored combat vehicles, naval guns, naval ship repair and modernization, artillery and missile launching systems, advanced precision strike munitions and ordnance, and other technologies for U.S., UK, Sweden and international customers. We employ advanced manufacturing technologies, a highly skilled workforce and robust supplier base to deliver affordable and technologically superior solutions.
Reporting to the President of BAE s Platforms and Services sector, this role is located at our sector headquarters in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the organization's financial operations including bid strategy, program financial management, financial planning, establishing the financial policies of the organization, developing and maintaining appropriate fiscal controls and standards, and preparing and interpreting financial reports.
+ Operate as a key business partner and work collaboratively with other sector functions
+ Provide financial guidance and advice to President s office regarding capital investments, contract negotiations, revenue recognition, and other financial analyses
+ Accountable for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, and policies of operations, trends, and increased profit opportunities
+ Safeguard the credibility and reputation of the enterprise by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
+ Direct policy development and related processes for Government Accounting Practices, general accounting, cash management, travel, accounts payable, tax administration, payroll and internal control.
+ Foster innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable solutions.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field along with a minimum of 15 years experience
+ Financial leadership experience in the U.S. Government Aerospace & Defense Industry.
+ Previous experience leading large matrixed finance teams with accountability for execution, accuracy and results.
+ Expert knowledge of IFRS and other general accounting rules and principles; ability to recommend and implement best practices while adapting to change.
+ Extensive U.S. Government Contracting knowledge including FAR, DFARS and CAS rules and regulations;
+ Exposure to financial Audits and experience working directly with DCAA, DCMA, external corporate auditors, and other U.S. Government agencies.
+ Experience working with business leadership at the C suite and Executive level Executive level to recommend and analyze strategic business decisions utilizing data driven solutions.
+ Change management advocate, recommending, leading and implementing change within the Finance domain including process improvements, re-organizations, digital transformation, and new tool implementation.
+ Strong Risk and opportunity management with ability to create and explain financial results for business leaders and identify reasons for variances and corrective actions;
+ Ability to influence key stakeholders throughout the organization; recommend, drive and implement change based on best practices in industry.
+ Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others and a focus on inclusive leadership, this role demands engaged leadership skills and the ability to influence, shape, and lead at all levels.
+ Impeccable judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure, including representing senior leadership in a variety of situations.
+ Lead and promote adherence to the company s ethical standards and business practices and provide for good stewardship of the assets of the business.
+ Willingness to travel 25%
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
MBA preferred and or CPA
Experience leading and implementing organizational and cultural change in a large organization.
