Global Transaction Banking ("GTB") is comprised of four business lines: Treasury Solutions, Financial Institutions, Global Trade Finance and Export Agency Finance. Support functions include: Credit Structuring, Product Strategy and Innovation, Business Intelligence and Business Risk / Control.
GTB is a key growth business within TDS offering innovative solutions and treasury advisory services on large and complex liquidity, payments and trade needs. GTB Portfolio Management team manages the drivers of Net Interest Income (NII) from GTB's deposit and credit products. By supporting origination efforts, providing yield management, and facilitating internal asset & liability management (ALM) functions, GTB Portfolio Management manages the drivers of NII to meet long-term objectives of GTB within the risk appetite of the business and the bank.
Job Description:
The VP GTB Portfolio Management is a key member of the portfolio management team. Reporting directly to the Director GTB Portfolio Management, the VP GTB Portfolio Management will be a catalyst in defining the internal ALM functions to ensure optimal performance of GTB balance sheet. They will have accountability for:
Act as SME on ALM & Liquidity Management as it relates to GTB Credit & Deposit productsUnderstand current ALM & Liquidity Management infrastructure to support suite of GTB Credit & Deposit products (FTP, LAR, Funding, etc.)Identify opportunities and advocate for enhancements to ALM & LM infrastructure in alignment with GTB business strategyAct as point of contact for Treasury to engage GTB on policy, methodology, and implementation of ALM & LM infrastructure supporting GTB Credit & Deposit productsAct as Treasury liaison for engagements on new GTB products or product enhancements in support of GTB business strategyInform GTB balance sheet strategy outlining insights on clients, products, and duration mix to achieve long-term business objectivesSupport Director GTB Portfolio Management on the creation, implementation, and monitoring of an optimal balance sheet composition strategySupport Director GTB Portfolio Management on the creation and implementation of incentive structures to shape the strategic balance sheet composition to achieve long-term business objectivesQualifications / Skills / Experience:
Undergraduate degree in a related field. Graduate degree in a quantitative field or professional designation preferred7+ years of relevant experience in Asset-Liability Management or Transaction Banking rolesExpert in asset and liability management concepts and fixed income (hedging, bond ladders, derivatives)Excellent understanding of Transaction Banking Credit and Deposit productsExcellent relationship skills to manage engagements with internal stakeholdersExcellent project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute projects that integrate to the team's strategic mandateAbility to analyze and interpret complex information and distill down concepts to generate actionable insightsAn ability to present ideas to senior leaders in an informed and meaningful manner that leads to business results.An ability to think strategically and understand the impact of the team in the broader businessWho We Are:
