Vice Presidents in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Stout will play a key role in leading day-to-day transaction execution. Ideal candidates will have direct experience working with the Senior Healthcare Team (Managing Directors, Directors) and will assist in managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates dedicated to Life Sciences within the team. Healthcare Associates are essential in producing valuation analyses, including DCF, Transaction Comps, Trading Comps, and, when needed, Pro Forma M&A analysis.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with senior banking professionals on the Healthcare Team to drive business growth through client coverage, prospecting, program management, and deal execution.Support origination, evaluate opportunities, and execute deals across a diverse range of assignments, developing industry specialization in healthcareEstablish and nurture credible client relationships within client organizations, primarily driven by deal execution and transaction-related activities.Lead all aspects of transaction execution, including team organization, engagement with internal and external stakeholders, and championing product and advisory ideas.Oversee and mentor junior staff (associates, analysts, and interns), ensuring timely delivery of engagement deliverables and maintaining high-quality work standards.Manage highly complex financial modeling, pitch book production, client relationships, and logistical aspects associated with deal execution and client management.Mentorship
Mentorship is critical to the success of building a career in banking. This is an apprenticeship business, and our Vice Presidents will have full institutional support to advance their career in addition to working closely with the senior members of the Healthcare team.Requirements:
10+ years of relative professional experience4 - 8 years of M&A investment banking preferredMinimum of 5 years working end-to-end M&A lifecyclePrior Healthcare or Lifesciences experienceBachelor’s degree in finance, Math, or Economics RequiredMBA PreferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, & PowerPointStrong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentVice President Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
