The ideal candidate will be an exceptional strategist and content creator, able to create compelling C-level narratives at the cross-section of business and technology. This position will report to the Chief of Staff to the CEO; and closely collaborate with the CEO, senior leadership, Brand & Communications, Executive Engagement & Global Events, Performance & Content Marketing, and Employee Communications teams. **Key Responsibilities** + Thought Leadership Strategy + Build a narrative strategy that positions the CEO as a thought leader and spokesperson on key issues across industry trends, innovation, leadership, and technology + Shape the CEO’s vision and personality into a cohesive and authentic presence plan and external voice that can be leveraged across multiple platforms to drive key business objectives + Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to develop relevant and forward-thinking content + Content Development + Work with teams across the business to ideate, develop and execute high-impact content including white papers, opinion pieces, blogs, social media, and articles for publication + Develop speeches, presentations, and talking points for the CEO’s participation at conferences, industry events, and internal meetings + Closely collaborate with the Marketing organisation on the creation of multimedia content, ensuring consistency of CEO messaging across all channels + Manage and execute original research to generate unique insights + Measure and report on the effectiveness of content strategies and their execution to continually optimise the CEO’s impact + Executive and Functional Collaboration + Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all matters related to thought leadership and external positioning + Work closely with senior leadership, external partners (e.g., media coach), and internal collaborators (e.g., Brand & Communications, Executive Engagement & Global Events, Performance & Content Marketing, Employee Communications teams) to gather insights and content that supports the CEO’s thought leadership + Develop strong working relationships with a stable of relevant organizations, in order to orchestrate and scale world-class thought leadership; as needed, collaborate with internal teams if there are existing relationships (e.g., Sustainability, Government Affairs, Executive Engagement & Global Events, Brand & Communications, Content Marketing) + Review, edit, and approve any CEO content produced by other internal collaborators **Qualifications** + 20+ years’ work experience in multi-national, matrixed, high-tech organisations – preferably in integrated hardware and/or software industry + Inclusive of 10+ years of hands-on experience in thought leadership, content strategy, and/or executive communications + Inclusive of minimum 5 years of consulting or sales experience with customer engagements delivered around operational excellence, digital transformation, technological innovation + Proven track record of ideating and working with teams to deliver high-impact content for C-suite executives, including social media, speeches, and written thought leadership + Strong knowledge of tech industry trends, emerging technologies, and global business environments + Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms + Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across different functional teams + Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualisation; ability to conduct hands-on original research & analysis of complex data and translating into compelling insights and associated visuals + Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving + Results-driven with a passion for storytelling + Highly adaptive and comfortable with ambiguity **About AVEVA** AVEVA is a global leader in industrial software.
