Vice President, IT Systems
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, IT Systems to join the team. This position is located in our New York, NY office and will require occasional presence in our New Jersey office and occasional travel to our satellite offices in Illinois and Florida. The position is currently operating on a hybrid basis of on site and remote working.
Job Overview:
The Vice President of IT Systems will oversee the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the company's information systems and processes. This includes on premise server and communication systems, including networking, and end user IT, plus cloud services such as Google Workspace and backup.
Responsibilities:
Establishes the strategic direction of the company's information systems; executes this strategy in collaboration with direction from company leadership.
Ensures the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
Manages capital expenditure and operating expense budgets, expenditures and forecasts.
Manages the helpdesk team and the level of support and customer service provided to all end users.
Liaises with the UK team on all shared infrastructure support
Oversees local cyber security initiatives for the US environment and coordinates with the UK on all global initiatives.
Updates, tests and documents Business Continuity plans and tabletop exercises
Management of major incident resolution and response, and POC with retained incident response consultancy
Manages cloud back-up
Directs purchase of all computer hardware
Manages all software licensing and compliance
Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and IT operations
Reviews requests for additional services and/or new solutions to assess security and appropriateness for the organization
Develops/updates company usage and security policies for review, approval and adoption
Manages end user training for data security and IT related matters
Directs team on onboarding and ongoing training, specifically for Google
Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, costs and requirements such as office moves and data center replacement
Maintains pace with technological changes and current events in cyber security to ensure security of the company network.
Management of third party providers - Hardware and software suppliers, ISPs, Telco, Mobile, Access cards, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages team and creates professional development plans for team members
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management and professional-level staff in the department.
Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of management-level staff in the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent training and experience required.
Ten years of relevant experience in a technical role with progressive responsibilities required, and significant leadership experience preferred.
Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office Suite
Strong technical background with proficiency in Windows10 and macOS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 and above, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Apps Suite, Email applications, as well as iOS mobile devices
Working knowledge of MS Active Directory
Demonstrable experience of Internet browser configuration including; Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox
Experience of providing support using remote control applications.
Understanding the concepts of wireless and wired networking
Experience with Antivirus software and knowledge of Phishing techniques, Malware, Viruses and Spyware

The salary range for this position is $200,000–$215,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
