We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Vice President of Business Development to lead our Japanese Business Accounts within the Corporate Risk & Broking division in Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our Japanese client portfolio, leveraging your expertise in risk management and broking solutions. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at securing new business and retaining existing clients.
The Role:
Lead the business development efforts for Japanese corporate clients within the Corporate Risk & Broking division, focusing on risk management, insurance broking, and related services. Develop and execute growth strategies specifically for the Japanese business community in Indonesia.Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at Japanese multinational corporations. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized risk management and insurance solutions that address the unique needs of Japanese clients. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Japanese corporate sector. Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new business and expand existing relationships. Monitor the local and regional market dynamics, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to ensure our solutions remain competitive. Drive the retention of key accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and continued business growth.
Report on business development performance, providing insights on client feedback, pipeline, and revenue forecasts to senior leadership. Work closely with the wider Corporate Risk & Broking team to ensure the seamless delivery of services to clients.
The Requirements
10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the corporate risk, insurance, or broking industry.Strong understanding of risk management, insurance broking, and related solutions in the corporate sector.Proven experience working with Japanese multinational corporations and understanding the Japanese business culture and client expectations.Fluent in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive results across cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.A deep network within the Japanese business community in Indonesia is highly desirable.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Equal Opportunity Employer
