Position Summary:
The Vice President of Operations at UM Charles Regional Medical Center is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and integrating the facility’s business and operational functions. As a key member of the Executive Management Group, this individual ensures the seamless operation of critical services while driving strategic initiatives that align with the mission and vision of UM Charles Regional Medical Center. The VP of Operations serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and represents the CAO in various capacities, including committee engagements and system-wide programs. This position requires a visionary leader who can foster a collaborative organizational climate, champion innovation, and deliver exceptional operational outcomes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic and Operational Leadership:Collaborate with the CAO and executive team to develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies.Lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and patient satisfaction.Actively contribute to institutional planning and policy development, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals.Facility and Business Operations:Oversee key operational departments, including Plant Operations, Security, Environment of Care, Life Safety, Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, Respiratory, Imaging, and Laboratory Services.Drive improvements in facility management, including construction, renovations, and equipment procurement, adhering to the Master Facility Plan.Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and accreditation requirements.Financial Stewardship:Identify and implement strategies to enhance the financial performance of operational units.Monitor budgets and resource allocation to optimize cost-effectiveness and return on investment.Team Leadership and Development:Mentor and advocate for directors and managers within the operational departments.Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that supports employee growth, engagement, and retention.Regularly meet with departmental leaders to address challenges, set goals, and promote team-building.Community and Stakeholder Engagement:Represent UM CRMC in external partnerships and community initiatives, promoting the organization’s mission and values.Maintain effective communication with the Board of Directors, medical staff, and other key stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:Evaluate and enhance operational processes and performance improvement initiatives.Lead project teams for major expansion efforts, ensuring timely and successful implementation.Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion across all operational functions.Company DescriptionAbout UM Charles Regional Medical Center:

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in General Administration, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration from an accredited institution.A minimum of 8 years of progressive executive leadership experience in healthcare operations.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.Proven success in improving financial performance and operational efficiency.Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.Skills and Abilities:
