Vice President, Product Management (Public Library Software)

Position Summary:

As the head of the Public Library Solutions line of business, part of Product Management leadership, you will drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and market leadership of our library Public Library Software solutions.  You'll thrive in this fast-paced role, building high-performing teams, managing P&L, and innovating for the future. Your responsibilities fall within a framework of the following functional areas of core competence.

Master’s degree or higher in a related field or relevant, equivalent work experience10 years of product management experience in a related industry, or Customer experience and SaaS solutions5 years people management experience

What will you be doing in this role?

Business LeadershipOwn the overall business growth plans and activities across the matrix organizationBuild a full profitability planConstruct and justify business plans. Own topline for product lines and own business plan for BU approval.   Independently reviews and understands business plans to make proper roadmap and prioritization decisions.Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.Innovation: Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the LOB, staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective operations, optimizing processes and resources to achieve business goals.Product RequirementsCoach team and drive/own development/agile process.Document clear and measurable product requirements and make trade-off recommendations between implementation and functionality. Create detailed product specifications using written requirements, business rules, process flows and use cases; incorporates user experience generated deliverables such as prototypes, wireframes and design and copy documents.Review, comment, and vet product requirements and specifications to meet the spirit and intent of market requirements.Product DeliveryManage the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle process from concept through implementation and release.Collaborate with design, content, engineering, QA, and operations to refine the product delivery process and deliver the highest level of quality. Customer ResearchCreate overall strategy for collecting market and product data to drive the definition of the product roadmap, backlog, and priorities. Maintain regular contact with customers to stay current with needs and requirements.Drives internal program to track product analytics to inform priorities.Product RoadmapDefine and own the product, build a long-term vision, establish a strategic roadmap, and deliver the products to the market, assuring development efforts are aligned with BU strategy.Product StrategyOwn and drive strategy across multiple product lines.Programmatic GrowthGuide team in ownership of product profitability.Develop strategy to drive growth programmatically in opportune or needed areas; positioning of new feature/function; and providing feedback into competitor feature/function.  Market RequirementsAuthor market requirements/agile epics, bring them forward to grow product(s), and drive innovation across the Library Software Group and Clarivate portfolio.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other business units and corporate functions to ensure alignment and support for LOB initiatives.

Hours of Work

Main workdays are Sunday - Thursday with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours, working with global customers and other lines of business.
