WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Scientific Affairs Executive will determine direction and establish priorities and product development including demonstrating new or improved products and processes in infectious disease, both internally and externally. Direct and coordinate activities Advise and participate in policy making decisions of emerging infectious disease agents and to continuously recommending interventions as appropriate. Oversee surveillance programs that support the organization's strategic priorities. Plan and lead ongoing research procedures. Investigate and develop additional revenue studies including project planning, budget, resource implement innovative process ideas to impact clinical plan, and incorporate the study and scientific and overall direction for the clinical
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD
1. Oversee the research, development programs, including operations, and to develop new products and related external funding opportunities.
2. Manage overall operation of clinical CRO management. Recommend and management. Manage the clinical operational the development of study-related documents development.
3. Plan and lead the organization's response collaborate with the organization's public relations situations.
4. Responsible for the supervision of staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success.
5. Represent the organization's activities and services to the pertinent federal regulatory agencies, to the public, and to other governmental entities.
6. Supervise clinical trials staff and manage the full scope of study, protocol and scientific publications. Act as a cross functional liaison to ensure study plan aligns with business development strategies and provide leadership in negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence policymaking bodies externally.
The salary range for this position is $150,000-$206,0000
This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
PhD in Biological Sciences. Experience directing a research facility in the blood banking environment. Supervisory/management experience required. Significant laboratory research experience, including research design, priority setting, experience in working with vendors, regulatory agencies, leadership roles in professional organizations, and substantial professional publication of research findings leading to the organization’s competitive position and profitability. National and international stature for scientific expertise and review of research is desirable. Experience in operations, microbiology and scientific support of operations is required.
Leadership level will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. We encourage applications from individuals with varying levels of experience who are passionate about leadership and making a significant impact.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Overall mobility is essential. May also include driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
