WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Transportation Planning Team Lead for the Southern California geography, based in the WSP Los Angeles-CA or WSP San Diego-CA offices. Expertise + Leverages our broad technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings. + Fosters the development of new and emerging innovations to remain the trusted thought leaders in our industry. + Advances the strategic direction of the region in the location of responsibility for sustained and continued growth consistent within the context of the strategic plan. + Encourages, supports and promotes the technical and professional development of local WSP staff. + Track changes in federal environmental law and policy in coordination with specialists and evaluate implications for projects, pursuits and staffing. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + Minimum of 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in the A/E/C industry with a focus on infrastructure projects. + Experience with professional environmental services as a consultant or client, developing scopes of work, directing work, issuing or responding to RFP or RFQs. + Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, persistence, and growth. + Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement. + Strong business acumen. + Sound decision-making, strategic and visionary thinking, and creative business development capabilities. + Strongly established relevant client relationships and industry contacts in the local area, including ability to lead pursuits and proposals. + Commitment to internal and external client service. + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s Degree is preferred. + Essential professional licensure/certification. + Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables, certifications, processes, and plans in a multi-project environment is highly desirable.
