Vice President, US Marketing Compliance - Alternatives

**About this role**
**_Role Description:_**
_This individual will join the_ _US Marketing and Distribution Compliance_ _team to focus on the sales and marketing efforts of BlackRock’s Equity Private Markets (EPM) and Capital Markets (BCM). This is a unique opportunity to assist BlackRock using asset management experience, product knowledge and knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, in particular FINRA Rule 2210 and the SEC rules (with emphasis on the Marketing Rule)._
**_Key Responsibilities:_**
_This individual will work collaboratively with a larger, global team on strategic projects and initiatives, advise on sales and marketing materials and manage internal stakeholder relationships._
+ _Provide advice as a subject matter expert on applicable rules, regulations and policies applicable to marketing and investor communications_
+ _Analyze rules and regulations, including regulatory developments, to assess the potential commercial impact on the businesses covered_
+ _Review and advise on marketing materials for BlackRock’s Equity Private Markets (EPM) and Capital Markets (BCM) helping to assess regulatory and business risk_
+ _Partner with Legal & Compliance colleagues globally, and business partners on the launch and development of new alternatives products and strategies_
+ _Develop educational materials and deliver trainings for business partners with respect to marketing and fundraising regulations with a focus on alternatives funds and strategies_
+ _Participate on working groups with internal stakeholders to support commercial initiatives_
+ _Work closely with global colleagues to help develop and ensure consistency and operational efficiencies regarding procedures and process_
**_Knowledge/experience:_**
+ _6-8 years of legal and/or regulatory (compliance) experience in asset management_
+ _Experience with marketing and advertising regulations including the new SEC Marketing Rule_
+ _Bachelor’s Degree_
+ _Strong knowledge of asset management business_
+ _Strong knowledge of alternatives products and strategies including (private equity and hedge funds)_
+ _Strong analytical skills, and effective written and oral communication skills_
+ _High standard of accuracy and excellent attention to detail_
+ _Ability to prioritize workloads, multi-task and adhere to deadlines_
+ _Excellent organizational and project management skills_
+ _Collaborative team player, ability to work on team projects_
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $173,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
