The Vice President of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the oversight, development, management, and operations of inpatient and outpatient services and specialty programs across PAM Health. This role provides strategic direction, growth, program development, quality assurance, compliance, risk management, therapy policy and procedures, and marketing support relating to PAM Health’s rehabilitation services and specialty programs. This role involves supporting operational leaders in developing organization-wide best practices for workflows, facilitating their adoption, and overseeing the management and operations of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. This role requires up to 80% travel across the PAM Health network of hospitals. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is an exempt position.

Responsibilities

Resource Management

Provide or arrange sufficient and appropriate training for assigned staff, including Directors of Rehabilitation.Oversee and direct Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Services, including inpatient rehabilitation programs and outpatient services.Develop program budgets, monitor performance, and ensure effective cost control in collaboration with hospital financial management.Propose new ideas for clinical programs and services and integrate ambulatory care within the broader PAM Health delivery system.Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards, implementing standardized processes and resource allocation for efficient rehabilitation service delivery across PAM Health's hospitals and ambulatory clinics.

Quality Assurance

Participate in the implementation of quality assurance, program evaluation, and risk management programs in coordination with corporate quality and compliance teams.Embed the PAM Health rehabilitation philosophy in all aspects of rehabilitation operations.Coordinate program functions with appropriate corporate staff and provide necessary reports.

Marketing

Support strategic initiatives in communicating and strategizing rehabilitation services.Maintain contacts with national rehabilitation associations, physical therapy associations, and disease-specific national associations on behalf of PAM Health.Maintain professional memberships and continuing education as required for licensure and certification.Identify business opportunities and foster development in rehabilitation services and post-acute care service delivery

Qualifications

Education and Training: Current licensure as OTR, PT, or SLP.  Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:  Minimum of five years in management role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Read and write the English language.Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to confer with hospital administrative, professional and clerical personnel. This includes the understanding of and the ability to instruct staff.Ability to supervise personnel and to establish the environmental climate for motivational occurrence.Ability to develop a self-imposed schedule and realistic goals and objectives.Ability to develop positive working relationships with peers, supervisory management personnel and staff.Ability to communicate with patients and family members in establishing a favorable attitude and motivating them to desired cooperation and effort.Ability to interact effectively and manage multi-disciplined personnel.Ability to plan and develop.Ability to utilize office equipment and computer software programs to support communication and reporting.
