Purpose of the Position: To provide leadership and executive management to a cohort of SCO programs that serve clients with developmental disabilities. To serve as a member of the SCO Executive Council, and Administrative Council to advance the mission of SCO through sustained high quality, effective programs, and planned growth.
Reports To: Chief Program Officer
Supervises: Program Directors and selected support personnel
Responsibilities:
Leads and supervises the portfolio for people with developmental disabilities, which includes the Divisional Directors (potentially), Program Directors, support personnel and supports their work to achieve annual goals and agreed upon results
Hires and terminates assigned Directors/ /Supervisors/frontline staff, as appropriate in consultation with and with the approval of the Chief Program Officer and HR
Provides leadership and vision for their designated program areas in accordance with the SCO mission and vision
Collaborates with the Chief Program Officer to develop a vision specifically for the designated program areas that supports the SCO mission and vision
Collaborates with the Chief Program Officer on Requests for Proposal (including writing, organizing data and other components to secure funding)
Develops and monitors budgets with designated Financial Director, for all program areas and reports areas of strength or improvement to Chief Program Officer, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and or Chief Executive Director
Develops and monitors Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with designated Quality Director, for all program areas and reports areas of strength or improvement to Chief Program Officer, Chief Strategy and Development Officer and or Executive Director
Develops and monitors staff professional development efforts and work-related needs with the Center for Professional Development and Human Resources
Monitors all incidents and crisis within the program area and works with the Quality Improvement department to ensure that safety plans and corrective actions are in place and that the appropriate stakeholder is notified (SCR; Justice Center; etc.)
Participates in regular check-ins and leadership meetings with Chief Program Officer and other Vice Presidents in the Chief Program Officer’s portfolio
Participates and regularly attends, as a member of Executive Council, Administrative Council, and collaborates with members of Executive Cabinet related to program and strategic planning to advance the agency’s vision, mission, and goals
Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders through direct contact, meetings, and workgroups.
Advocates with staff on Executive Cabinet and Executive Council for program fundraising and support from stakeholders regarding program area issues impacting the population related to the social determinants of health
A spokesperson in collaboration with Cabinet member, when appropriate, related to program funding needs with City, State, and Private funders
Approves all program expenditures for up to $5,000

To provide leadership and executive management to a cohort of Adolescent, Young Adult residential and non-residential community programs. To oversee the overall execution of person-centered and family-focused initiatives to support permanency; reduce recidivism; and support the transitions of youth who are aging out of care with the skills needed to function as a productive member of society, through the following program portfolio:

Programs Portfolio Residential Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s) Community Residential Program (CRP) Individual Residential Alternatives (IRA’s) 853 School The Christopher School Family Care Program Community Habilitation Program Day Habilitation Program Drop-In Center Individual Support Services- (apartment program) Behavioral Intervention ServicesSuccessfully managing the program portfolio to exceed agreed upon goals with an agreed upon budget
Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer; other Vice Presidents, and Cabinet members to lead SCO in a way that achieves the mission and consistently grows the impact of SCO for those served
Collaborate when appropriate with internal and external stakeholders in advocacy, resource development and other initiatives that advance the impact of SCO
Qualifications:
5 or more years of progressively responsible management experience of human services programs with a demonstrated record of achievement. 5 or more years of experience in supervising teams of 10 or more. Bachelor’s degree in administrative, social work, or another related field. Masters preferred.

Office environment; requires travel to various program locations; on call 24/7.
