We are seeking a Vice President to join our Risk Management Commercial Lines Department in our New York City office.
Functions & Responsibilities:
Service and monitor accounts and disseminate account activityMarket renewals and new business as well as collaborate with the marketing department Evaluate existing coverages and make recommendations as needed. Round out accounts as opportunities ariseNegotiate with Underwriters to provide the best possible coverage and rates according to underwriting guidelinesReceive, review and forward invoices, policies, endorsements and other documents as necessaryMarket specialized coverages as neededAuthorize the release of Certificates of Insurance, Accord Binders, and Placement RequestsReview and audit policies for compliance with internal procedures and in accordance with binders specificationPrepare proposals for clients and potential clientsVisit clients as necessary to ensure client satisfactionConduct online meetings with clients if in person meetings are not possibleAttend staff and Account Executive meetingsApply (basic) proficiency of loss analysis, SIRs, Retrospective Rating/loss sensitive plans on account activity as neededAssure proper disposition of items on expiration listsParticipate in new business strategies meetings and presentationProvide training to junior staff, where neededCollaborate with unit staffExperience and Skills Required:
A minimum of 7-10 years related experienceValid P&C LicenseExperience with servicing middle market and large accountsFour-year college degree or equivalent work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detailAbility to establish and maintain relationships with clients and carriersAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environmentStrong presentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with a teamAbility to travel as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of EPIC (ideal)The expected pay range for this position is $200,000 a year to $210,000 a year and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
