Provide executive leadership and operational oversight for all ambulatory clinics, clinical services and business operations, including the development and control of enterprise fiscal, human and capital resources. Advise on setting standards, ensure regulatory compliance, support quality patient care, maintain fiscal accountability and support medical leadership, clinical directors to ensure the safe and effective operation for the ambulatory enterprise. Direct report to the designated executive of the assigned Member Organization.

QualificationsMaster’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum 10 years’ progressively responsible senior leadership experience in a large private practice, medical group, physician services, or other ambulatory care environment.

Develop strategic and operational goals and objectives to support the vision, mission, and values of UMMS and UM CRMH.Manage the financial performance of ambulatory service entities to maximize both the strategic objectives and the bottom-line performance, accountability, productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of the organization.Accountable for leading the transition of the System’s clinical enterprise to a risk-based reimbursement model.Develop initiatives to foster the competitive growth of new markets/services and increase share of current markets.Lead and participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees to address clinical, operational, and strategic issues and opportunities related to ambulatory services.Work with other executives and clinical leaders to develop the health system’s vision and goals related to the evaluation and improvement of practice standards, patient care and service outcomes and the delivery of high quality, cost-effective services for the clinical enterprise.Establish comprehensive metrics and reporting to evaluate team performance to ensure goals and objectives are being met.Identify and resolve operational and performance gaps and obstacles; implement changes and improvements.Evaluate clinical indicators/trends, business practice indicators/trends, new technologies and clinical advancements in outpatient services to develop associated business development initiatives.Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations.Represent ambulatory business service lines in institutional planning.Work collaboratively with senior leadership, medical staff, clinical administrative staff, and business staff to develop a long-term strategy for clinical program development.Develop and maintain a human resource management plan that supports the achievement of clinical, service quality and financial objectives, and that involves staff at all levels within the organization.Create an organizational climate which supports and values diversity and recognizes the contributions of staff from diverse backgrounds.Foster a culture of collaboration, problem solving, innovation, continuous learning, and a one team mindset.Perform other duties as assigned.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
