How You’ll Add Value

The Vice President and General Manager of Sample and Repository Services (SRS) leads and oversees all aspects of the SRS business. This includes managing operations, optimizing business functions, driving strategic growth, and ensuring alignment with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Additionally, they develop and implement long-term strategies while effectively communicating business objectives both internally and externally.

This leader collaborates closely with various Azenta business units to foster synergy and drive overall success.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for developing the overall strategy for SRS in line with corporate goals and expectations. Responsible for planning and monitoring progress to the SRS Annual Operating Plan and Multi-Year Plan. Lead the business functions within SRS in a manner that optimizes customer, employee and investor willingness to recommend. Lead and inspire the team to foster a positive culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration, ensuring a supportive and high-performing work environment. Develop and launch new services to meet customer needs and ensure business growth goals and strategies are met.  Develop customer-based solutions that leverage Azenta core competencies and work closely with sales to present those solutions. Remain current on industry trends and advise the organization regarding evolving industry trends, best practices, quality standards and opportunities for business growth.  Maintain collaborative work environment across Azenta to facilitate open and cooperative atmosphere between internal groups and business divisions.  Lead Quality, Operations, and Resource Management to ensure adequate policies, procedures, work instructions and educational programs are in place for the services being provided. Promote continuous process improvement.  Instill a continuous improvement culture.  Set and measure meaningful KPIs.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Life Sciences required; Master’s or PhD Degree preferredRequires a minimum of 8 years of management experience in the life sciences industry leading organizations (or organizational business units) of similar size or larger.Requires demonstrated business/technical acumen.Previous experience of working in the life sciences industry, with experience of working in the Drug Discovery/Clinical trial space desirable.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with functional business partners and teams to maximize business.Possesses credibility that commands respect internally and externally.Proven ability to deliver performance results.Global exposure to targeted end markets, customers, and potential partners.
