The Vice President of Benefits and Employee Wellness is a strategic leader responsible for creating, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits and wellness programs. Responsibilities include managing benefits operations, ensuring compliance, handling vendor relationships, and developing employee communication strategies. Responsibilities + Benefits Program Design and Management: + Design and manage a comprehensive benefits program that meets the diverse needs of the workforce and supports the organization's talent strategy. + Evaluate and benchmark benefits offerings against industry standards and best practices. + Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure competitive pricing and quality services. + Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to employee benefits. + Seek and maintain cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability of the benefits program. + EVP Development and Implementation: + Lead the development and implementation of a strong EVP that clearly articulates the unique value the organization offers to its employees. + Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand employee needs, preferences, and industry trends. + Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the EVP is aligned with the organization's overall strategy and brand identity. + Employee Engagement Communication and Education: + Create and implement communication strategies to educate employees about benefits options, wellness programs, and enrollment processes. + Foster a culture of open communication and feedback to ensure employee needs are met and concerns are addressed. + Measure and track employee satisfaction with the EVP and benefits program. + Financial Management: + Develop and manage the benefits and wellness budget, including forecasting costs, tracking expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. + Analyze financial data and create reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments + Monitor and analyze program costs and utilization to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. + Ensure the program is financially sustainable and provides value to the organization. + Team Leadership: + Lead and develop a high-performing team of benefits professionals fostering a collaborative and high performing work environment. + Provide training, development, and guidance to ensure team members are knowledgeable about industry trends, compliance requirements, and best practices. + Data Analysis & Reporting: + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to benefits utilization, employee health, and wellness program effectiveness. + Conduct regular analysis to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and return on investment (ROI) of benefits and wellness initiatives. + Vendor Management: + Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services. + Evaluate vendor performance and explore new partnerships that align with the organization’s evolving needs. + Compliance & Risk Management: + Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and handle audits, reporting, and filings as necessary. + Stay informed about industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in benefits and wellness to proactively address potential compliance risks. + organization. + Strategic Planning: + Develop and implement a strategic vision for benefits administration and employee wellness programs in alignment with the company's overall HR strategy and business objectives. + Conduct regular market analysis to ensure benefits and wellness programs are competitive, cost-effective, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Qualifications + Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree and or relevant certifications (e.g. CEBS, PHR, SPHR) preferred. + 10+ years of experience in benefits administration, employee wellness, or a related HR function, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Job Skills: + Strong knowledge of employee benefits, wellness programs, and related regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA). + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and budgeting skills. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage employees. + Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating benefits contracts. + Ability to lead a team, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing business needs. Posted Salary Range USD $175,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
