This leader is accountable for driving better integration and alignment between revenue related government and external affairs functions, including but not limited to payer and employer contracting, pricing and profitability, government programs, government affairs, care affordability, charity care, and marketing with a goal to ensure care is affordable and sustained for Hoosiers. Ensures we are optimally reimbursed by government payers to minimize shortfalls and cross subsidize. Ensures fair and reasonable pricing, and sustainability of the pricing. Directs and guides IU Health's policies and objectives, ensuring alignment and coordination with state, govt and payer affairs, interfacing with state officials and employees on healthcare financing matters, assisting in the development of strategic advocacy plans, guiding regulatory interactions, analyzing legislative impact, and monitoring activities to drive revenue processes and financial strategy in alignment with IU Health's vision and values. Aims to differentiate IU Health by delivering on commitments to keep care affordable and promotes increased customer loyalty. Leads the strategic direction of these functions to support the revenue strategy, charity care, the IU Health Vision, and aligns with IU Health’s Values while driving the health system’s long-term profitability and pricing strategy that balances consumer value from a total cost of care perspective with a sustainable margin that will support IU Health's long term financial plan. Provides leadership and direction to generate and retain revenue across multiple channels while leading and directing financial modeling, reporting, and analysis to evaluate growth opportunities while driving IU Heath’s volume to value transformation. Expected to develop an agenda for system-wide innovative organizational improvement. Interfaces with senior leadership and front-line team members, government officials, employers, executes organizational development strategy, and drives change initiatives across the system to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred. Requires 15+ years of relevant experience. Must be data driven with a sophisticated command of data analytics. Must have a broad and strategic perspective with a focus on consumer value and profitable growth. Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests and goals. Requires a strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, leadership and financial management skills/knowledge, with a focus on adding value to the bottom line of the business to foster a preeminent healthcare environment. Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of employees, management and community leaders and is a proven leader who is an effective, creative and visionary problem solver.
