**The Role**
The VP of Commercial Excellence will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that optimize commercial (sales, customer success, and partner) performance, drive revenue growth, and improve sales processes. This role will lead a team focused on commercial strategy, process design and improvement, communities, and best practices amplification across the organization.
**The Main Responsibilities**
+ Design and execute a comprehensive sales and customer success strategy aligned with company goals and market dynamics, both current and 3-year views.
+ Create orchestration models to deliver on commercial strategy across Sales, Specialists, Sales Engineers, Customer Success, and functional support.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a sales excellence team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
+ Utilize data analytics to measure sales and customer success performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve effectiveness and efficiency
+ Recommend onboarding and sales training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team
+ Analyze and streamline commercial processes to reduce friction and enhance the customer journey, ensuring best practices are adopted
+ Work closely with marketing and product management to ensure alignment on sales and customer success initiatives and messaging.
+ Present findings and strategies to executive leadership, providing recommendations to drive business growth
+ Stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge
+ Lead the territory growth planning process, the quota retirement planning process, and any annual or in quarter plan to exceed plan (PTEP) sales and revenue retirement planning processes across all segments
+ Develop a precision execution engine that lays out the number of opportunities and deals, targets, bundles, pricing that need to be created, nurtured and closed to deliver on targets
+ Create a forecasting engine and rhythm of commercial engine to get the business within + or - 5%
+ Lead Monthly Business and Ops reviews to drive from data, to insight, to scalable action
**What We Look For in a Candidate**
+ Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years in sales, sales analytics or sales process improvement experience for enterprise technology companies
+ Minimum 7 years experience of building, developing, and leading high performance teams
+ Strong executive leadership experience with demonstrable results and successes
+ Experience and comfortability working with all levels of leadership, decision makers, stakeholders, and external entities, to include public speaking and presentations
+ Ability to influence an organization toward a unified goal and objective and being a change agent
+ Experience working closely with leadership teams and business executives to develop sales processes and strategies
+ Passionate and innovative around driving growth strategies
+ Consistently offers a positive, professional, and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
+ Thinks strategically and executes methodically

**Compensation**
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
