Overview & Responsibilities:

 

We are currently recruiting a leader for the Copyright Royalty Department that is part of the Paramount Global Content Distribution group dealing with collective rights management for Paramount Global entities.

 

We are seeking a seasoned copyright royalty professional who is an independent and proactive individual to work in a dynamic international setting dealing with Collective Management Organizations (CMOs), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), across all divisions of the company, domestic and abroad.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Provide timely and efficient responses to varied requests by CMOs. Meeting deadlines is mission critical. Draft, review, and submit invoices and declarations, including those requiring signature. Review distribution rights, restrictions, and licenses on titles in the Paramount and CBS libraries. Have the strong ability to use multiple systems and programs, including but not limited to rights and licensing databases, document repositories, CMO websites, and more. Review and submit proper documentation related to conflicts. Acquire and submit tax forms as requested by various CMOs. Represent Paramount Pictures and CBS at the MPA in dealings with copyright royalty administrations and distributions. Work with colleagues both locally and remotely from various areas of the Company, including Legal, Finance, and Deal Management. Facilitate and follow applicable rules and regulations related to copyright royalties. Interface with various Finance groups to receive and provide requested documentation and data. Collaborate with international distribution teams, following legal guidance that aligns with the broader goals of Paramount.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

12 years of applicable experience at a major or medium-sized entertainment company. A pragmatic, business-oriented approach to resolving applicable issues related to copyright royalty administration. The capacity to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment who enjoys a dynamic and ever-changing business work environment. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. The ability to be a flexible teamplayer with a hands-on mentality who likes to take initiative.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $170,000.00 - 200,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
