Job Description:

The Vice President - Corporate Banking - Industrials works alongside Senior Corporate Coverage Bankers on client account management, and the origination and execution of financing and broader TD Securities platform business (including Capital Markets, Corporate Risk Solutions and Transactional Banking). The role also involves supervising and coordinating junior professionals’ work product and career development. 

Essential Responsibilities:

Support Corporate Bankers in day-to-day client coverage, and assist in providing capital structure advice and execution, including lending/acquisition financing, capital markets and TDS/TD Bank Group platform solutions, working alongside Product Partners.Act as an experienced specialist for an assigned sector/portfolio, working closely with Senior Coverage Banker (s) responsible for the sector (s).  The role requires demonstration of deep sector and client knowledge. Develop strategic idea generation related to the client/prospect and sector, including capital structure, ratings advisory and acquisition financing.  Structure/deliver high impact presentations and alongside Senior Coverage Banker and involved in presenting materials to clients.Maintain strong interaction/partnership with Product Partners on pitch development and foster a deep knowledge of the TDS Product Platform.Conduct deep dive financial analysis and corporate finance related to M&A/acquisition financing and other financial transactions, alongside Investment Banking, with the goal of originating lead managed fee business.Supervise, guide and coordinate junior professionals’ work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and client presentations.As experience develops, opportunity to take active role in client relationship management.Demonstrated maturity presence, attention to detail, initiative and strategic thinking.Maintains confidentiality of client information and operates within the Bank's Risk culture.Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank.

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/EconomicsSeries 7, 79 and 635-7 Years of related experiencePrevious Corporate & Investment banking experience preferred
